I haven't read or seen a PERFECT manga like Pandora Hearts! It's my best manga ever, you can't found a manga with a dark fantasy, black comedy, tragedy, psychological, historical and dramatical like this one, the art is awesome and the story is breathtakingly beautiful to.
These manga have different plots and yet, many similarities:- Beautiful artwork- Victorian Era fantasy- The main hero makes a contract with a supernatural being in order to discover his past, the secrets surrounding his family and loved ones.However, PH focus a lot more on romance/friendship, while Kuroshitsuji has a focus more on mystery. Still, both present you with lots of action, adventure and mostly, with unexpected twists that will leave you speechless for quite some time.The characters make you get attached to them, with complex personalities and backstories. There are no gary stu or mary sue and you'll be surprised and never get bored because the story progresses in a way that always keeps you wanting to know more.If you liked one, you'll most likely like the other:D. Kuroshitrsuji and Pandora Hearts are lot alike.
In both stories something tragic has happened in the past. There are supernatural powers and both have a lot of comedy and adventure. Both are truly amazing stories with a contract between the two main characters. These two stories will make you laugh, cry, and make you want to punch that one person in your class whom you hate.
They both take place in the past around the Victorian Era. While Kuroshitsuji has a gothic style of art and story and Pandora Hearts has a brighter and cheerful aura the two stories will always make you love one of the main characters. Well I know I do. Not only do Pandora Hearts and Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) have a similar style with their settings, there are also numerous similarities when it comes with the general setup.
For instance, there is the concept of a 'contract' between two main characters. The story feels like a fantasy adventure with darker tones and motives as the series progresses. In light of this, the relationship between the two main characters are the most fascinating as we get to see different side of them. Recommended for anyone looking for a fantasy adventure with an elegant Victorian setting. Now if you've actually read D.Gray-man/Pandora Hearts (not just watched the sub-par adaptations), they're both really good manga with good plots and such.Pandora Hearts is similar to D.Gray-man because they both can be light hearted and fun then switch in a matter of one page to dark and violent. Both are extremely well-written, especially, with the plot-twists that leave you wondering- you don't have a clue what will happen. I think that Allen (D.Gray-man) and Oz (Pandora Hearts) have a lot of things in common.They both have the same 'feel' to them.
Also, they both are underrated and quickly dismissed because of their not-very-good adaptations. Both are extremely good, I highly recommend you read both. (Probably Pandora Hearts first since it's only 108 chapters, while D.Gray-man is more than twice that (219) AND still on-going).

They also hint a lot a things that'll happen in the future, some you only notice after reading them for a second time. In the beginning there are lot of short stories with non-important characters but the development of these stories will make difference as the story goes.Both main characters, Allen and Oz (and Alice, in Pandora Hearts) don't know who they really are, and during the story they'll start discovering about their past and about their true self.Both stories are also full of plot twists, action, deaths and dramatic moments. As soon as the first plot twist start, you can't stop reading! When reading both of these titles you start to notice the similarities to one another.both start out being more or less light hearted, as the story progresses they become much darker as the story and the characters start changing in unexpected ways, which can be both heartwarming and heartbreaking.The story's it self are both nicely written as the authors pay attention to the details and symbolism, most everything is connected in someway which makes it interesting, like putting pieces of a puzzle together. Pandora Hearts and Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE both takes place in a fantasy world where there are endless possibilities.
Throughout both series, there is an conflict of identity issues and lost memory. The main male protagonist tries to help the main girl to get her memories back but faces difficult challenges throughout their journey. There are plot twists as other characters gets involved - both allies and enemies. Furthermore, there are moments of happiness and joy while there are also days of tragedy and sorrow. Recommended for fans of fantasy/adventure with a complex story. At first glance, Dorohedoro and Pandora Hearts have nothing in common.
But once you get past the visual, and deeper into the minds of the characters and the themes of the story (missing memories, seeing how your past life relates to the world of the present), you begin to see many similarities. Pandora Hearts is considerably less violent, but hey, there's still decapitations, child murder, massacres and so on. PH also gets compared a lot to other irrelevant series because they look similar/have similar styles or settings while no no similarities in story content or character complexity, but make no mistake, this is the manga it should be compared to. And if you like both these manga, I also recommend you read Berserk, which is similar to both. Pandora is abit similar to FMA, Ed is a person who as a child had his father leave him, while in Pandora hearts, Oz's father abandons him and though they are entirely for different reasons, it still has the aspects of their father's being a mystery. Both FMA and Pandora hearts have deep plots such as Homunculus being mysterious group that have unknown intentions, while in Pandora hearts, the Baskervilles are a family whose leader is unknown and their intentions also unknown.
They both contain fights which explore characters,different abilities as well as the theme of immature main characters who start growing out of it. Both have pseudo-European settings with a bit of light 'magic'; the main character (Ed, Oz) is forced into working for an organization after having a horrible experience. They both have to prevent a repeat of the past which could destroy the world.Both series have large casts of interesting characters on both the good and bad side, as well as ones who you don't know which side they're on; the main bad guy stays in the shadows for a long time.
Have an alternate dimension (the gate, the abyss). Have heavy mysteries, plot twists, and suspense. Don't have a huge amount of violence, and practically zero ecchi. Some scary monsters, though.Ed and Oz have similar personalities; though Ed is more forceful, and Oz more happy-go-lucky.
Both have lost their mothers and were abandoned by their fathers.The art styles are different from each other, but each is very distinctive and memorable. FA is definitely shounen; PH seems to lean a little more toward shoujo (it has lots of bishounens). Both are rather long, and it takes a while to get to the core story, but if you're patient, you get there.

Alice, a white rabbit and Oz, shards of memories.Genres are also very similar.Note: Alice is a guy.
In both the main protagonist is a blonde boy who is dragged to a dangerous world where supernatural creatures exist. Also many similarities in the characters situations or personalities: a noble girl who befriends the protagonist, a guy with lack of memories, a tormented cat that is related to Alice's past, a mysterious important character that appears in visions/dreams, a girl that hates and blames someone for a certain situation, a boy that did everything for the person he cared for, even if that costs the life of others, a cruel character that reigns in the wonderland. If you liked one, you certainly like the other. Both of them are quasi-homages to Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' and both have the same feel to them-somewhat funny comedy mixed with twisted storytelling and artwork. Although neither is an adult manga (in the hentai sense), they take even darker journeys down the rabbit hole than Carroll's story does. Plus, anyone who wants beautiful bishounen and pretty artwork should check these out. Despite the fact that neither manga is identical to the other, the tones are similar enough that this is an easy recommendation.
Both mangas create a rather suspenseful atmosphere with random comedy brought in everywhere. They all have strong friendship bonds and have many situations which urge you to read on.Personally I just think these two genres fit well with each other since all of my friends which read Pandora Hearts enjoyed 07 Ghost (real reason)Also both characters become involved with their past which gradually builds the lead of the story. Teito is fighting to regain his memories and Oz and Alice receive shock and confusion from their memories.in a way.In any case 07 Ghost is highly recommended. Crimson Shell was a sort of early incarnation of Jun Mochizuki's later work, Pandora Hearts. Both have her signature drawing style, and several of the character designs are similar. Both have similar settings and themes: An organization was instituted to fight against monsters, there is a girl who is one of those monsters but is different and more powerful. She has been forced to join the organization.
A crucial part of the story is her trust in an older man, and how it seems that trust is betrayed. Lots of intrigue and magic. CS is only one volume, though.
I like to think of Kubera like a great combination between Pandora Hearts and One Piece.Both Pandora Hearts & Kubera are beautiful and painful tragedies that will shake your heart, with a protagonist that develops dramatically through the story.The atmosphere in both stories very similar- a dark and deep storyline with comedy to balance everything.The stories also contain a wide cast of great and complicated characters. Every character in the story has a unique and fun personality, all of them has their role to play in the story- non of them is unnecessary.Fun plot twists and beautiful, touching to the heart artwork (though it starts pretty weak in Kubera) also included!Highly recommending both of them. Similar manga that builds a fantasy world where different organizations vie for a ultimate goal that could decide the fate of the world. Both manga starts innocently with little details revealed about the fundamental structure of the world. However, the comical misadventure of the protagonists belies the dramatic revelation later in the story that will subvert readers' understanding of the entire story. Betrayals are everywhere, and alliances could switch in a instant. A character is not at all what the readers first thought he would be.
Although they express different goals, Hitsugi no Chaika and Pandora Hearts takes place in a similar setting with fantasy elements. Both series' main characters are searching for something and therefore on a journey of discovery.
Throughout that journey, the main main and female protagonist bonds and learn more about their world and one another. There is mystery especially revolving around the origins of both series' main characters as well. If you're looking for a fantasy/adventure series, then give both of these a try as they may appeal your interests. I'm not sure if both stories have similar plots.But I do think that some of the characters in both stories have similarities/ reminds me of this and thatFor example:Lark & Oz - They are both cheerful and both are the kind of people who doesn't want anyone to worry about themselves. Both have blonde hair, have red eyes too.

Blue-haired guys.Ersha & Echo - Both girls are quiet/kind of the people who doesn't show much emotions.Bathory & Lottie - They smirk a lot.And.I don't know why but Carne reminds of me of Sharon. Is it because of the ribbons on their heads plus their close relationship of the blue-haired dudes? XDWell, that's just all. Kirito and Oz are protagonists that had troubled pasts and have brave personalities;- Eugeo and Gilbert act as the protagonist's childhood friend and are their inseparable companions;- Asuna and Alice B. Are brave and beautiful girls that behold an immense power;- Alice S. In both in the 'past' arc, there are two best friends, but one of them is secretly 'evil' and wants to end the world as he knows, for a certain purpose.
In the middle of those two best friends there is an extremely important girl for both, yet one of them ends up killing her. Then the 'evil' guy reveals his plans and they become enemies, but deep down, the 'evil' guy is not entirely evil and it is capable of feeling and loving, he cries a lot or he is usually emotionless with empty eyes.
Usually the nice flashbacks of the 'evil' guy with his best friend are set on a garden. In both the girl has long black hair and liked to sing for them.Both are great reads with beautiful art and deep plot: they start as comedy but then switch to drama/tragedy.
The background of each uses fairytales with Kataribe no List using Grimm's various fairytales as items and Pandora Hearts relying on 'Alice in Wonderland' to portray parts of the story. What they have more in common though is that they equally have great comedic scenes and interactions between characters which lightens the mood appropriately even when things are serious. Also, albeit the story in Pandora Hearts is a lot more developed and complicated and deals with more themes, they both include a mystery of sorts with the main protagonist(s) being chased by certain enemies, similar plot twists at every corner and not knowing really which is the right or wrong side in the end.So, for a mix of fantasy, comedy and mystery while giving off the same vibe, both of them would be an easy, enjoyable read.
